Greater Portland Iris Society (GPIS) is a non-profit organization devoted to the genus iris’ study, propagation, and culture. Our primary goal is to stimulate and foster interest in horticultural pursuits relating to iris. To accomplish this, we are devoted to the education of the public through exhibitions, public display gardens, and meetings open to the public. We are an affiliate of The American Iris Society, with many clubs throughout the United States and Canada. To find a club near you go to American Iris Society/Resources and Iris Links/AIS Regional Websites. If you live in Oregon, Washington, or NW Canada, find a club with events near you: www.region13ais.org/events.

If you live in the greater Portland, OR area, like to grow iris, and want to learn more about them, we invite you and your family to join us. You need not be a member to sit in on the meetings, enjoy the shows, or find a new treasure at one of the many plant sales. However,  once you have we are sure that you will wish to be.

Membership privileges include the right to use the GPIS library, eligibility for door prizes at meetings (including a $65.00 Gift Certificate), access to special auctions and sales, and admittance to seminars and workshops.

Dues are $12.00 per year per household for those whose main club is GPIS. For those residing in Region 13, but whose Region Dues are paid by another club, dues are $7.00. Outside Region 13, dues are $12.50 per year per household.

To join GPIS, complete the Membership Form and send it with your dues to our membership secretary.
